Not Nailing It

The beauty and frustration of working with watercolour is that you really cannot control everything. You can control some things, but at the end of the day the watercolour gets its way too. The drawings above are throw-aways. There are elements I would like to recreate, like how the shoulder in silhouette is washed out by the sun.

And I am working in a beautiful studio space for two months. It is near the railroad and the old BC sugar refinery. The skylights bring in a ton of natural light, and my desk is right next to a sink. How perfect is that?
