Modest Beginnings

Embarking on what I think is going to be a career in picture book illustration is exciting and daunting.  Luckily,  I am not on my own.
Thanks to Michael Katz of Tradewind Books (http://www.tradewindbooks.com/), I have been introduced to the world of children's picture books and writing.
Thanks to Jennifer Mann (http://www.jenniferkmann.com/), who kick-started this blog and unbeknownst to her, has become my mentor.  She is hugely talented and published with Candlewick Press.
Not a lot of drawings at the moment, but here is the one that started this all back in the Fall of 2011.  It is called, "Ella."
Charcoal and watercolour.
