Jon Klassen!

The news is already a few days old for many, but I was thrilled to find out yesterday of Jon Klassen's Caldecott Medal win for, This is Not My Hat, and a Caldecott Honor for, Extra Yarn.  Personally, I would have picked Extra Yarn as the winner of the two.  However...

My favourite book by far is still his debut picture book, I Want My Hat Back.  That book is my beacon, and like any good fan, I made fan art.  I imagined a sequel quite different from the version with the derby pilfering fish.  It would have been called:

 I Want My Rabbit Slippers Back
