Food and art go well together. One inspires the other, and you can't easily draw on an empty stomach, right? Here is a label that I decided to make for one of my favourite sweets, lemon curd. Sometimes, I use lemon curd in a fancy tart recipe. This time, I am making 18 canning jars' worth as a contribution for a staff appreciation luncheon. The recipe is a stand-by from Baking Illustrated, and very similar to the version found in, The Secrets of Baking.
Original is pen, ink, and stamp on stonehenge. The leaf stamp was carved from candle.
