Secret

The topic for Illustration Friday this week is SECRET.  I liked the composition of this woman peeking secretively through a door.  Nearly ruined the drawing at the end by trying to colour in the door.  Works much better with just the white all around.  So I did what anyone would do -- cut, cut with utility knife and glued onto another piece of bristol.  Good as new.  Shhh...
Pen and ink.

  4. This is lovely!. I always say there are no mistakes in art, only opportunities. I think you handled the door beautifully.

  5. Coreopsis, Michele, Sally, thank you for your feedback. This is the fun part when you meet the deadline -- meeting fellow artists, and one fellow planner (that's my sometimes day job, Michele).

  9. That is my worst fear to ruin a painting at the end. Yikes. But kudos for the cut out!
